Physical Access Tokens (PATs)

DEPARTMNT’s MINT 001 physical assets' physical counterpart has precisely the same design, colour-way and rare ‘bonus features’ as the eyewear design depicted by the digital animation.

Each physical eyewear piece will include our inbuilt DEPARTMNT access chip (DAC) that connects smart devices with your DEPARTMNT dashboard via a smart device. The hardware will act as a real-world ‘Access Token’ unlocking future IRL events in the DEPARTMNT Experience.

When an Access Token-holder redeems a physical Access Token from their DEPARTMNT Dashboard, their eyewear piece will be specially made for them in the UK at E.Gucewicz studios using high-quality materials and meticulous processes.

Once E.Gucewicz studios have crafted your redeemed physical Access Token, these glasses will be shipped to a location of your choice. DEPARTMNT covers the shipping cost.

DEPARTMNT Access Tokens are not static creations. Whether physical or digital, they evolve over time and through your interaction with them: so the ability to redeem a physical Access Token will have an expiry deadline of 1 year after the redemption date. After this expiry date has passed any unredeemed or staked physical Access Tokens will automatically be upgraded/evolved into a new mystery digital Access Token. This token will be airdropped to your wallet with new metadata to reflect the changes and the fact that the Access Token was unredeemed and void of the physical asset.
