# Digital Access Tokens (DATs)

After the mint has concluded, you will receive your digital asset, the first Access Token to the DEPARTMNT Experience. Digital assets will at first be unrevealed. It is up to you if you want to break the symbolic seal and reveal your investment from its silhouetted shape.

Each animation and the eyewear are unique from the other 2000 pieces in the collection. 

These unique assets are also ranked in rarity. Rarity is defined by both the aspects of the digital asset, which include environments or animated visible features, as well as the design and style of the eyewear design, which provides for shape, colour, style and bonus elements.

We expect that rarer Access Tokens will be more sought after due to their scarcity and uniqueness. Owners will be able to check the ranking of their tokens on major ranking platforms such as HowRare, Opensea, etc. Rarity will also affect the number of points attributed to an Access Token, which is explained later in this document.

Rare Access Tokens may have ‘bonus elements’ added to the design: these bonus elements are details on the eyewear model or animation. Some of these elements may result in IRL or digital access to exclusive experiences and other more exclusive privileges from such features.

Countless hours have been put into meticulously rendering the details and finish of these digital assets so that they match the material texture, and colour, and play off the light of the physical counterpart. We recommend careful inspection of the details visible in the digital assets as animations may yield clues that could unlock further exclusive elements of the DEPARTMNT.
