DEPARTMNT Access Tokens: Overview
The most important utility of any asset should be the experience you get from it.
The Access Tokens themselves are basically products or tokens that remain secondary in value to the gamified experience we are creating and generating with you. Each decision you make regarding your ownership of Access Tokens means you take a different pathway of experience.
Fuelling the gameplay, DEPARTMNT will continue to drop - exclusively or via collaboration - different types of Access Tokens at least twice a year. Considerable care goes into the development of tokens - these tokens may be produced in physical or digital form - might be useful or just entertaining - and may serve a utility that is temporary or permanent.
In all cases DEPARTMNT Access Tokens will be created with accomplished product designers or creatives to deliver these objects of desire through high-end goods embedded with our (DAC) enabling the DEPARTMNT Experience.
001 Access Tokens can only be acquired by minting from the mint or through aftermarket purchases. However, some future tokens may be earned as rewards from the DEPARTMNT experience. Access Tokens may be ‘traded’ or ‘combined’ at the DEPARTMNT Store.
In the future, as more tokens are dropped into the product ecosystem, the possible combinations of all DEPARTMNT tokens as wearable products (one way or another) is a fundamental part of the DEPARTMNT’s ecosystem of Access Tokens: all Access Tokens fit together.
The connection of two or more Access Tokens may be made by a digital merging; or a literal fitting together of two modular physical Access Tokens; or a more cerebral, abstract linkage of the clues hidden within Access Tokens that when combined yield further benefit of experiences to you.
It is this working out of how you, the player, collect and acquire Access Tokens, identify how they intertwine and connect, and how ultimately they can benefit you… that is part of the DEPARTMNT Experience.
Each time DEPARTMNT drops or airdrops a new Access Token, the associated product the Access Token inhabits might be something entirely new and seemingly unconnected to the previous Access Tokens or the products we have released. This is because we like to keep you all thinking and adequately challenged… don’t be perturbed: it all connects and is part of the game.
Every owner of an Access Token is a member of our community - and every community member will have the opportunity to contribute or collaborate over the development of future Access Tokens. The level of activity you take depends on how you want to play the DEPARTMNT experience.
